Keep your accounts running easily with recurring insertion orders

Image
It can be difficult to stay on top of your accounts to make sure they stay live and having to worry about creating new insertion orders (IOs) in the product each time. Now, with recurring insertion orders, you can create a series of insertion orders that automatically renews according to a set frequency. You no longer have to worry about that next IO, and you still have the flexibility to manage IOs individually. This is a need currently unmet in the search advertising space. Recurring insertion orders help facilitate your insertion order management and grant you the peace of mind to keep your accounts running with ease. How do I create an insertion order? When you’re in your Accounts & Billing page, click on the Insertion Orders tab. Clicking on Create order now gives you the second option of Create a recurring insertion order . Trump tweets displeasure at Twitter follower drop

President Donald Trump accused Twitter of targeting his followers for removal from the social media platform, amid complaints by conservatives that social media companies have been discriminating against right-wing voices. "Twitter has removed many people from my account and, more importantly, they have seemingly done something that makes it much harder to join--they have stifled growth to a point where it is obvious to all," Trump said in a tweet Friday. "A few weeks ago it was a Rocket Ship, now it is a Blimp! Total Bias?" Amazon's ad bonanza continues with $2.5 billion last quarter

Amazon's ad business continued its breakneck growth last quarter, hitting $2.5 billion in sales, showing once again why the company is earning its place as the No. 3 digital advertising player behind Facebook and Google. On Thursday Amazon released third-quarter earnings, and while investors were concerned about its forecast for this holiday quarter, advertising remained a bright spot. Ads are Amazon's fastest-growing segment, climbing 123 percent year over year. Overall, the e-commerce giant posted sales revenue of $56.6 billion in the third quarter, a 29 percent increase year over year. Amazon also hit record profits of $2.9 billion. Its forecast of $72.5 billion in sales in the fourth quarter, however, was lower than Wall Street analysts hoped. Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow

Google sees growth in third quarter, but headwinds from rivals loom

Google generated advertising revenue of $29 billion in the third quarter, up 18 percent year-over-year. Income, meanwhile, came in at $9.5 billion, up nearly 10 percent when compared to the previous year. Even so, the company continues to get squeezed by payouts to partners such as Apple for making its search engine the default choice within browsers. Here are four takeaways from today's Google earning call: Search isn't cheap Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow

Google: 48 people have been fired for sexual harassment in last two years

Google CEO Sundar Pichai sought to reassure employees of the internet giant after a New York Times report said a former top executive was paid millions of dollars when he left following allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct. In the past two years, 48 people have been terminated for sexual harassment, including 13 who were senior managers and above, Pichai and Eileen Naughton, vice president of people operations, wrote in an email to staff. None of these individuals received an exit package, they added. A Google employee accused Android chief Andy Rubin of coercing her into performing oral sex in a hotel room in 2013, the New York Times reported on Thursday. Google investigated, concluded her claim was credible, and asked Rubin to resign. The company could have fired Rubin and paid him little to nothing, but instead, it paid him a $90 million exit package and didn't say anything publicly, the newspaper reported. Snapchat sells more ads, but that's turning users off

Snapchat's finally bringing in more ads, but that might be turning people away from the platform. On Thursday, the messaging and media app released its third-quarter results that showed another decline in daily users, but a welcome uptick in ad revenue to $298 million, an increase of 43 percent year-over-year. Snapchat also forecast a company record for ad revenue in the fourth quarter, projecting it will come in as high as $380 million. The bad news is that Snapchat's user base declined to 186 million, from 188 million in the second quarter and 191 million daily users in the first quarter. The drop followed a mismanaged redesign of the app in the beginning of the year, and since then there has been a major overhaul at the top echelons of the company. Imran Khan, the company's chief strategy officer, is leaving as of next month, and his role is being replaced by two newcomers -- Jeremi Gorman, coming from ad sales at Amazon to be chief business officer at Snapchat, and J

Amazon margins are earnings key as tech needs more good news

The worst month in nearly a decade for tech stocks has investors paying extra attention to Amazon's third-quarter earnings report on Thursday. Amazon is the second-best performing megacap tech stock this year, with a 48 percent gain that trails only Netflix. While the web retailing giant is expected to say that revenue grew 30 percent from the year-earlier period, Wall Street is more focused on the profitability of key businesses including cloud computing, advertising and third-party retailing. "The highest-margin businesses are simply growing so fast that Amazon is either not able or not willing to reinvest enough to offset the margin expansion," Macquarie analyst Benjamin Schachter wrote in a research note. Facebook gets symbolic fine for Cambridge Analytica scandal

Facebook was slapped with a symbolic 500,000-pound ($645,000) fine by the U.K.'s privacy regulator for "serious" violations of data protection rules that paved the way for the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The fine is the highest possible for the Information Commissioner's Office under old rules that predated this year's European Union revamp of privacy penalties. The ICO said that between 2007 and 2014, "Facebook processed the personal information of users unfairly by allowing application developers access to their information without sufficiently clear and informed consent." The revelations that data belonging to millions of Facebook users and their friends may have been misused triggered a global backlash from investors and regulators. The ICO has led the European investigations into how such an amount of data -- most belonging to U.S. and U.K. residents -- could have ended up in the hands of Cambridge Analytica, a consulting firm that worked on Don

Comcast soars the most in five years after profit tops estimates

Comcast rallied the most in more than five years after its focus on improving internet service paid off in the third quarter, with the largest U.S. cable provider posting a big increase in broadband subscribers. The company added 363,000 internet subscribers in the period, a 70 percent increase from a year earlier. Comcast has had only one previous quarter in the past six with larger broadband customer gains. The growth should ease investor concern that broadband is slowing and shows why much of the company's capital is going toward network upgrades. It's now the biggest U.S. provider of gigabit speeds. The pay-TV business remains tough, with video subscribers shrinking as more U.S. customers go for cheaper options such as AT&T's DirecTV Now. The U.S. video losses are a reminder why Comcast is paying $39 billion for Sky Plc—a pay-TV company in Europe, where cord-cutting isn't so prevalent. Twitter cleanup sweeps away 9 million users, but ad sales up

Twitter's audience is down by 9 million people, but that's good for advertisers. On Thursday, the media messaging app released its third-quarter results which showed a monthly active user base of 326 million people, down from 335 million in the prior quarter. However, that's what Twitter's advertisers and investors were expecting since the company has been focused on purging bad actors, harassers and fraud accounts. "We continue to make really steady progress against some of the health initiatives that we're seeing," said Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO, during an early morning call with Wall Street analysts. Rage against the machine: Q&A with Ralph Nader

Ralph Nader's new book, "To the Ramparts: How Bush and Obama Paved the Way for the Trump Presidency, and Why It Isn't Too Late to Reverse Course," covers precisely what the title says it does. The consumer advocate, who you should thank every time you buckle up, continues at 84 to rail against injustices ranging from the skewed electoral college (Nader was the Green Party candidate in 2000), hospital safety, corporate stock buybacks and, increasingly, the ills of online advertising. Our conversation has been edited for space and flow. So what's on your mind today? I'm a Yankees fan and the in-play radio advertising is so mind-bogglingly intrusive and stupid and destructive of listening to the spirit of the play of the game. Microsoft sees growth thanks to booming cloud biz

Microsoft posted another quarter of brisk revenue growth driven by its cloud business, underscoring that internet-based computing is now the heart of the largest software maker's operations. Fueling its push is Azure, the company's cloud-computing service, as revenue jumped 76 percent year-over-year. Office 365, the internet-based versions of MS Office, saw sales to corporations jump 36 percent. Microsoft often uses its suite of productivity-based products to introduce current clients to its cloud offerings. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has been working to transform the company into a seller of services that let businesses store data and run applications from Microsoft's data centers, instead of their own in-house machines. Amazon is the market leader, but booming demand means Microsoft has still been able to carve out a solid business with its Azure cloud services. Microsoft dominates in the fast-growing market for cloud-based office software, and corporate upgrades to W

How Amazon is talking about big data with Madison Avenue

Amazon is working with top media holding companies and brands to make its data more available for use in their media planning, according to people familiar with the plans. The e-commerce giant has been huddling with the agency world—companies like Omnicom, WPP, Dentsu Aegis and others—about how they can partner on the future of advertising on the platform, especially when it comes to applying data to targeting ads and measuring how those ads perform. "Amazon, for the first time ever, is starting to realize that monetizing the data they have and making it available for purchase, not personally identifiable information, could open a revenue steam that wasn't there before," said one agency executive who is familiar with the talks Amazon is having with agencies. Snap hires two executives to take over from departing Khan

Snap hired two executives to take on the responsibilities of departing Chief Strategy Officer Imran Khan, adding technology-industry veterans to help bulk up its advertising business and build partnerships. Jeremi Gorman, formerly head of global advertising sales at Amazon, will be chief business officer. Jared Grusd, who was chief executive officer of the Huffington Post and previously worked at Spotify and Google, is joining as chief strategy officer, overseeing content, partnerships and corporate development, Snap said Wednesday. The company's shares rose on the news. The two new hires have a daunting task ahead. Snap still has to work to expand its Snapchat mobile-messaging app internationally and reverse a slowdown in user growth, which was hindered by an unpopular redesign earlier this year. The company also needs to make a compelling case to advertisers that marketing on Snapchat has value on par with Facebook, Snap's much larger social-media rival. Continue reading

Apple CEO Tim Cook lobs daggers at Google, Facebook

Apple CEO Tim Cook lashed into companies such as Facebook and Google that collect user data, equating their services to "surveillance," as he touted the importance of privacy and legislation to protect it. The comments, given at an EU privacy conference in Brussels on Wednesday, come months after the bloc implemented strict new data protection rules and as Apple begins to mend a difficult relationship with the EU following a clash over nearly $15 billion in allegedly unpaid taxes. In some of his harshest rebukes of his competitors yet, Cook sought to distinguish the iPhone maker from Silicon Valley competitors, like Alphabet Google and Facebook, both under scrutiny for recent user data breaches. Adobe on its future as rival Salesforce invades its turf

Although Adobe has long held kingpin status among marketers with its cloud services, recent developments indicate its world is changing. Adobe itself is doing very well — its stock is up 46 percent year-over-year — and products such as Photoshop, Analytics, Illustrator, Lightroom and Dreamweaver have allowed it to corner a market hellbent on personalization and so-called digital transformation. But the company turned heads following its $4.75 billion acquisition of Marketo last month, signaling to newfound rival Salesforce that it intends to move beyond the business-to-consumer landscape and into the realm of B2B. At the same time, Salesforce is encroaching on Adobe's business-to-consumer turf. Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow

Facebook reveals its biggest political ad spenders

Facebook is giving more details about who is spending the most money on political ads on its platform, and the leader this election cycle is … Facebook. Facebook calculated its political ad spending to be $12 million, for ads on the social network and Instagram. Those ads were, in general, related to getting out the vote and the latest changes to the platform to clean up political messaging. Aside from Facebook's own media spending estimates, the company also disclosed Tuesday the exact amount of money spent by candidates and special interest groups since May by releasing a new version of its political ads archive, which now has specific spending information. The data show that Democratic Rep. Beto O'Rourke of Texas, who is running for the Senate against Ted Cruz, spent $5.3 million since May buying 6,000 ads, the highest amount spent by any candidate, so far. Facebook also revealed the amount of political ad spending on the platform as a whole since May—$256 million on 1.7

Amazon branded women's apparel sales languish, report finds

Amazon's scatter-shot attempt to shake up women's fashion by launching a barrage of private label brands isn't going so well, according to a report by Jungle Scout, a data-research firm for merchants on the e-commerce website. Apparel makes up 88 percent of all Amazon private label brands, but only 1 percent of all private label sales, according to the report. Women's fashion, which makes up most of the company's clothing brands, is struggling the most, with more than 4 of 5 Amazon women's clothing brands selling fewer than 100 items per month, according to the report. "Amazon has invested heavily in women's clothing labels and continues to do so," Jungle Scout said in the report released Tuesday. "However, our data show that women's clothing performs poorly for them." Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow

Campbell disavows executive's tweet alleging a Soros conspiracy

Campbell Soup Co. is distancing itself from a tweet sent by one of its executives that knocked Open Society, a group backed by investor George Soros. Kelly Johnston, Campbell's vice president of government affairs since 2002, sent a tweet this week that said Open Society had "planned and is executing" the migrant caravan that is heading to the U.S. Johnston, 62, is a former secretary of the U.S. Senate and a Republican. Oculus co-founder joins Facebook's list of acquisition departures

Facebook is losing another long-tenured founder from an acquired company: Brendan Iribe, who was the chief executive officer of Oculus VR when Facebook bought it in 2014. "This will be the first real break I've taken in over 20 years," Iribe wrote on his Facebook page, without giving a specific reason for his departure. "It's time to recharge, reflect and be creative." Iribe was most recently the vice president of computer-tethered virtual reality. His departure comes shortly after the founders of Instagram and the CEO of WhatsApp also left the Facebook-controlled units. The purchase of Instagram, for $715 million in 2012, demonstrated that Facebook, as a parent company, could successfully keep an acquired company independent and under the leadership of its founders. That helped lure WhatsApp, for $22 billion, and Oculus, for $2 billion, both in 2014. Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow

Two cool cats: Viral Video Chart

The top slots acquit themselves well this week, so sit back and enjoy the show. Topping things off at No. 1 is Apple's "Growth Spurt," a take on one of this season's hottest consumer items (the iPhone XS). Though it has the brand's typically slick production values, it holds back on the arch cleverness for a simple, one-beat visual punch that gives it an almost old-fashioned sense of fun (tagline: "Everything you love just got bigger"). At No. 2, LeBron James steals the show, as always, with a mix of humility, superstar talent and heart, and lucky for Nike, he's doing it for the brand. It's part of the company's 30th anniversary celebration of its "Just Do It" campaign. As always, the view counts reflect both organic views initiated by consumers and paid views generated through ad placements. Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow

Expensive things: Netflix raising $2 billion to buy more shows

Netflix is once again turning to Wall Street to raise $2 billion for new programming as the streaming-video giant seeks to maintain its torrid subscriber growth. Netflix is going on a spending spree that will put it more than $10 billion in debt for the first time as it continues to pay for original shows. Netflix has been able to sustain such free-wheeling borrowing and spending thanks to its soaring subscriber count and valuation, which has reached $140 billion, up 70 percent this year. The streaming darling, known for producing hits like "Stranger Things" and "13 Reasons Why," will raise the $2 billion in a bond offering that can go toward keeping up its content library. The company said last week that it expects to burn about $3 billion in cash this year as it continues to prioritize original series and movies. Continue reading at AdAge.com SEO Company in lucknow
