Bing Ads is now Microsoft Advertising

View video: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/videoplayer/embed/RE2Pe2t Bing Ads name change — The evolution of Microsoft Advertising These days, marketers have more power than ever to identify and reach customers. With data, AI and automation at your fingertips, it’s no longer just reaching more people that matters to growing your brand. It’s about making each connection feel one-to-one, at just the right time and place. More meaningful, more timely, and more valuable — this is how we see advertising evolving. We’re evolving, too. Get started: Migrate now to final URLs to improve tracking

Image
Starting in August 2019, Bing Ads will no longer support the ability to create destination URLs at all entity levels (keywords, ads, ad groups and campaigns). By the end of 2019, we’ll begin the process of no longer serving entities with destination URLs. In preparation for this change, we strongly encourage you to take steps to migrate your existing destination URLs to final URLs. There are some important advantages to taking care of this step:   More efficient tracking management:  Manage and update tracking information for multiple URLs with a single shared tracking template. Turn hundreds or thousands of URL edits into one quick change. Less down time; more conversions and clicks:  Updates to tracking templates don't require an editorial review. This means your ads keep running, so you don’t lose out on potential conversions. Additional tracking insights:  You can add both  URL parameters  and  custom parameters  to your tracking templat...

New report tackles tough questions on voice and AI

Image
When it comes to voice technology and conversational AI, there's been a lot of talk, and a lot of speculation. There’s no denying that voice offers compelling advantages over its predecessors including the mouse, keyboard and touch screen – especially when it comes to accessibility and inclusion. For instance, Microsoft’s Seeing AI app is transforming the lives of the visually impaired.    But still, there are lingering questions. Can voice technology live up to the hype? Will tech builders be able to overcome trust issues from leery consumers? How does Cortana stand out from the competition? The Microsoft Market Intelligence team teamed up with Bing Ads Marketing to dig into these tough questions and others to find out what consumers are saying. Here are three of our key findings:   80% of digital assistant users report being somewhat or very satisfied. Even at this very early stage, respondents like using voice and are satisfied with their digital assistant...

Custom Audiences: Target customers with your own data

Image
“Past behavior is one of the strongest predictors of future behavior.” You've no doubt heard this popular maxim, and as a digital marketer, it's true: your own first-party customer data, such as a list of your customers who made a previous purchase, is an incredibly valuable data source — an audience to reconnect with. After all, no one knows more about your customers than you, using the treasure trove of customer data you have access to via your customer relationship management (CRM) tools. What if you could bring your own first-party customer lists onto the Bing Ads platform for intelligent targeting, such as your platinum-level customers, loyalty program customers, highest lifetime-value customers, newsletter subscribers — or even customers you want to avoid targeting and exclude? Custom Audiences can help you anticipate your customers’ needs and reach them with the right message. You can bid more aggressively for those high-value customers, whether you’re helping them...

Ad quality year in review 2018

Image
With the advent of technology and an increasing number of connected devices, it's critical for every business large or small to establish a digital footprint to stay relevant in today’s digital economy. Bing Ads boosts digital interactions for businesses and helps connect people with relevant information in the moments of the consumer decision journey that matter the most.   While digital advertising is incredibly powerful and open, it is also prone to abuse by bad actors trying to defraud and deceive users by delivering harmful and misleading ads, with persuasive content and innocent looking URLS that lead to phishing, malware attacks and other types of fraud.   At Bing Ads, we're committed to delivering accurate and relevant information to our customers and protecting them from low quality or harmful experiences. We have a dedicated team of policy professionals who keep our Bing Ads policies up to date to help ensure a safe ecosystem for our end users, advertisers, and...

Drug and alcohol addiction are serious and sensitive topics, especially for those affected by the addiction either directly, or indirectly. Our users deserve the most helpful results we can offer when they are searching for addiction recovery assistance for themselves or a loved one.  To help protect our users from being misled or taken advantage of during such a sensitive time, we have made the decision to require LegitScript certification for all advertisers in the drug and alcohol addiction recovery space. We will also no longer allow lead generators for these services. Bing Ads will publish and implement this change to our Pharmacy and health care products and services policy in the United States in mid-March.  For more information about this and other Bing Ads policies or guidelines, please visit our policy site at https://advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-usesources/...
