Bing Ads to require certification for addiction services


We're always evaluating our policies to help ensure a safe and engaging experience for our users. Drug and alcohol addiction are serious and sensitive topics, especially for those affected by the addiction either directly, or indirectly. Our users deserve the most helpful results we can offer when they are searching for addiction recovery assistance for themselves or a loved one. 

To help protect our users from being misled or taken advantage of during such a sensitive time, we have made the decision to require LegitScript certification for all advertisers in the drug and alcohol addiction recovery space. We will also no longer allow lead generators for these services. Bing Ads will publish and implement this change to our Pharmacy and health care products and services policy in the United States in mid-March.
